Bio
Ms. Buyer, who founded the firm in 1996, is a graduate of Colgate University, the University of Colorado (M.S.Telecommunications), and the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.The practice is focused on telecommunications law with specific emphasis on both regulatory matters and contract negotiation.
Since June, 2003, Ms. Buyer has written a monthly column for the New York Daily Record, a legal publication reaching thousands of attorneys in the Buffalo and Rochester areas. She has also had 2 articles in Business Communications Review, in November, 2004 and February, 2005. Beginning in May 2000, and running through September, 2001, she was the legal columnist for Computer Telephony Magazine and its successor Communications Convergence. She is a frequent commentator on telecommunications issues for local network television affiliates, and a regular speaker at industry meetings. Business First of Buffalo describes her as having a unique combination of technical, communications and legal skills.
Ms. Buyer is admitted to practice in New York, Colorado, Massachusetts and Wisconsin. However, telecommunications law is largely federal, so clients come from throughout the United States.
